Six flights in three days! The thought of it really would make you cry but I knew I had to just get on with it and enjoy the experience while I was able to.
As I mentioned in last week’s column, The “Glor Tire” finalists – Patrick O’Sullivan, Mick McDonald and myself were due to appear in [...]

After my lovely week in Donegal I returned home to Glasgow back to my 9-5pm lifestyle. As some of you may know when I’m not singing I am at home working for my dad in the office of his construction business.
It doesn’t come close to singing as I love every minute of when I am [...]

Well I returned back to sunny Donegal on Tuesday of last week. My mum and I took the flight to Derry managing to bypass my brother Christopher and his Fiancee Clare who were over for the weekend and took our flight home.

This week I was so happy to return to my home in Falcarragh. A few weeks ago John Cannon from Gortahork phoned me and asked me if I was available to headline a fund-raising event for Haiti in the Ostan Loch Altan hotel on the 6th of February.

For the past few days I have been relaxing at home which has been great. I’ve had time to reflect on how great a year 2009 was for me.  I had so much fun and the year totally flew by.

This week my two aunts, Briege McGinley and Mary Boyle, travelled over from Glasgow on our minibus to support me in the semi fina of Glór Tíre.  They spent quite a lot of their time with their mouths wide open snoring during the journey, but they made it and that’s the main thing.

On Saturday morning I was on talking to Pio McCann on Highland Radio and I was glad I got the opportunity to thank everyone in Donegal and the Northwest and of course my hometown Glasgow for all the support they have shown me since the show started in September.

Last Tuesday my parents and I flew over to Derry and made our way to my sister Celia’s house in Letterkenny to relax before the big trip to Galway. The next morning the four of us made our way down and arrived at The Quays in the heart of Galway City for the rehearsals of [...]
