First stop this week was Sion Mills on Monday night. It was my first time in Sion Mills and I had a great time. I was performing at a charity function for a lovely couple called Raymond and Eunice Moan. I arrived up at the gig a little earlier than normal to meet up with Country Harmony, a fantastic band, who were backing me that night. I always like to go through which songs I’m doing with every band just to make sure everyone’s happy and knows exactly what’s going on. Along with myself there was also a list of fabulous country singers. Read more »

Six flights in three days! The thought of it really would make you cry but I knew I had to just get on with it and enjoy the experience while I was able to.
As I mentioned in last week’s column, The “Glor Tire” finalists – Patrick O’Sullivan, Mick McDonald and myself were due to appear in The Gleneagle Hotel in Killarney on Friday, March 5. Read more »

After my lovely week in Donegal I returned home to Glasgow back to my 9-5pm lifestyle. As some of you may know when I’m not singing I am at home working for my dad in the office of his construction business.

It doesn’t come close to singing as I love every minute of when I am on stage, but it keeps me going in life and I’m lucky to have it to fall back on. Read more »

Well I returned back to sunny Donegal on Tuesday of last week. My mum and I took the flight to Derry managing to bypass my brother Christopher and his Fiancee Clare who were over for the weekend and took our flight home.

Although I wasn’t actually due to be in Donegal until Thursday, I decided to come over a couple of days early and catch the three Amigos Grand Tour featuring my Glór Tire mentor and friend Robert Mizzell, Jimmy Buckley and Patrick Feeney. Read more »

This week I was so happy to return to my home in Falcarragh. A few weeks ago John Cannon from Gortahork phoned me and asked me if I was available to headline a fund-raising event for Haiti in the Ostan Loch Altan hotel on the 6th of February.
Naturally, I jumped at the opportunity to perform in the town that has supported me so much over the past few months, but also because it was for such a good cause. Read more »

This week I’m extremely excited to announce that I will be headlining a fundraising event in the Astan Loch Altan Hotel in Gortahork.
The event is being held to raise as much money as possible for the troubles in Haiti. I am honoured to have been asked to headline the event as it will be my first but also because it is being held in my Irish home town, makes it even more special! Read more »
